ProductSmart TV Box
Pursuant to Circular Circular 42/2016/TT-BTTTT of MIC Vietnam – Regulations on list of radio, wireless, telecommunication devices and information technologies equipment (ITE) subjected to type approval and Declaration of Conformity TV Box (with WLAN interface) are subjected to Vietnam Type Approval, Declaration of Conformity (DoC) certification and must obtain import permit from Vietnam Telecomunication Authority (VNTA) – A subsidiary of Ministry of Communication (MIC Vietnam).
1. Applicable regulations.
Depends on specifications, notebook or laptop computer shall be regulated by the follows Vietnam national technical regulations:
Technical regulations required before October 01, 2017 (regulated by Circular 05/2014/TT-BTTTT):
– QCVN 54:2011/BTTTT (EN 300 328)
– QCVN 65:2013/BTTTT (EN 301 893)
– QCVN 18:2014/BTTTT (EN 301 489-1)
– QCVN 112:2017/BTTTT (EN 301 489-17) (applicable from 01-July-2018)
Application Dosier
Type Approval certification procedures and requirements for Smart TV Box
Required documents to apply for Type Approval certificate as follows:
– Type approval application form
– A copy of Vietnam business license of applicant
– Product specifications sheet or product data sheet
– Product photos
– Eligible test reports issued by local laboratories or oversea laboratories recognized by MIC Vietnam under Mutual Recognition Agreement (MRA)
A Verification and Certification Center of Viet Nam Telecommunications Authority (VNTA) shall review the application dossier and issue Type Approval certificate within 2 weeks if the application complies with MIC Vietnam and VNTA regulations.
Declaration of Conformity and VNTA Import Permit process
After obtaining Type Approval certificate for Smart TV Box or Android TV Box, applicant has to prepare a Declaration of Conformity dossier and apply again to VNTA for DoC.
Required documents for Declaration of Conformity as follows:
– Declaration of Conformity form
– A copy of type approval certificate of Smart TV Box or Android TV Box
– Product specifications sheet or product data sheet
– A copy of Business license of applicant
– ICT Mark of applicant (TA mandatory type ICT Mark with both “NAME” and “CODE”)
