What is ICT label?

iOTEK – Pursuant to Circular No. 30/2011/TT-BTTTT, ICT label is a mark showing a product’s conformity with relevant technical regulations. Local importers or manufacturers may use the ICT label only after having registered their specimens at Vietnam Telecommunication Authority (VNTA).

What is the regulation of ICT label in Vietnam?

Currently, there are 02 Circulars (Circular No. 30/2011/TT-BTTTT and Circular No. 28/2012/TT-BKHCN) regulated the ICT label in Vietnam.

In details, local importers and manufacturers already have the registered ICT label with their name and code, they should follow the regulation of Circular No 30/2011/TT-BTTTT and use the ICT label with their name and code for their products.

Besides, from August 2018, the local importers and manufacturers can use the ICT label without name, code and ICT abbreviation under the regulation of Circular No. 28/2012/TT-BKHCN. Pursuant to this Circular, the local importers and manufacturers will not need to register their ICT label with VNTA. They can use the ICT label for their product after getting approvals in Vietnam.

How to use the ICT label?

I. ICT label under regulation of Circular No. 30/2011/TT-BTTTT:

1. ICT Mark for Radio, Telecom, SRDs devices (ICT Mark) applicable for product subjected to both mandatory Type approval certification and Declaration of Conformity certification)

1.1. Shape of ICT Mark:

1.2. Contents of ICT Mark:

– ICT: Abbreviated name in English of Information and Communications Technology.

– CODE: Management code provided by the Vietnam Telecommunications Authority (VNTA).

– NAME: The management information registered to VNTA by organization and individual

2. ICT Mark of Conformity of MIC Vietnam (for ITE) applicable for product subjected to Declaration of Conformity certification only

2.1. Shape of ICT Mark:

2.2. Contents of ICT Mark (for ITE – without “CODE”):

– ICT: Abbreviated name in English of Information and Communications Technology.

– NAME: The management information registered to VNTA by organization and individual

2.3. Standard dimensions:

The standard dimensions for design of ICT Mark (for ITE) as provided in Picture 2:
